Luxury Shopping Bags: From Idea to In-Production
I’ve been managing a shopping bag project for a high-end client. It’s a 1-color print inside/out, custom herringbone handles, and yes, we dodged a tariff delay in April. Production is underway in Vietnam now, just waiting to clear customs.

The Barcode is Getting an Upgrade
Goodbye, UPC. Hello, QR-style 2D barcodes. These codes can store more data and are already starting to appear at major retailers. If you're thinking about future-proofing your packaging, this is a shift to watch.

💡 Tip from the Production Desk

Don’t Toss That First Sample
Keep your first printed sample (aka your production control sample). Mark it, date it, store it. It’ll save you later—especially if you ever change suppliers, need to troubleshoot, or reference how things used to be. I call it a “Production Sample File,” and it’s one of the best ways to stay in control of quality.
